I came across this "Cabin in the Woods" when I was looking for a place to stay for the Solar Eclipse. I hit the jackpot! Cynthia and her husband were great to work with. The response time was quick and Cynthia was always friendly in answering all my questions. The Place was gorgeous and we think even better than the pictures. Cynthia welcomed us with home made muffins, a nice bottle of wine and fresh cut flowers on the table. Such a personal touch that she didn't have to do, but we enjoyed because the muffins were delicious, the wine was great and the flowers were beautiful. It was private and very peaceful. My son and I enjoyed sitting on the backyard swing, soaking up the sun and just listening to all the birds. Every day we made the short walk to the large pond enjoying all the scenery, quiet time and family small talk that was so relaxing. This is definitely a great place for a get away. We are already talking about returning in the fall so we could enjoy the fall foliage.

I visited the area with my family to attend our niece's wedding and decided to stay at Cynthia's lovely 'Cabin In the Woods'. I had originally rented two rooms at a nearby bed & breakfast but after coming across Cynthia's lovely home on Airbnb I quickly changed my plans. The home was in a perfect location for us being within minutes of the wedding reception venue. Cynthia sent me detailed directions to her home which is in a very private location. Upon our arrival, I found that Cynthia, as promised, had left me directions from her home to the wedding venue, in addition to a delicious bottle of wine (thank you again). We found the home to be exceptionally clean and stocked with just about everything we needed during our stay. We enjoyed our short time at the 'Cabin in the Woods' and would definitely recommend it to anyone planning a stay in the area. Thank you again Cynthia for being the gracious host.

Beautiful cabin. Has everything as described on the site. Great for hiking, fishing, star gazing and roasting marshmallows at the fire pit. The NY and VT scenery is gorgeous. Watch out for the wild turkeys! Lots of stairs - but if that's an issue, there's a bar, TV, games, beds and a bathroom on the ground floor. We went during the Fall so there were not many people at the houses around the lake but there were a lot of "Private Property / No Trespassing" signs around.
