Whatever you enjoy in Denver, you will be sure to rest comfortably in your home-away-from home in our Sunnyside escape. Dedicated workspace and fast internet everywhere on the property. Private parking space for guests and plenty of street parking, as well. Our home was recently remodeled and has heating and cooling using a ground source heat pump and energy generated from rooftop solar to make your vacation more sustainable! It has three bedrooms, three bathrooms, and two living room spaces to comfortably accommodate up to 6 adults. We also have games, toys, and basics for kids. The backyard area is shared with carriage house guests and is great for grilling, playing yard games, or reading on the patio. Sunnyside is a charming neighborhood within walking distance to many chic and family friendly restaurants, local shops, parks, and bike paths, and conveniently close to everything Denver has to offer: downtown, Union Station, LoDo, Coors Field, Mile High, and Ball Arena, Wash Park, Cherry Creek, and Casa Bonita. Light rail, bus, Lyft/uber, scooter, bike, or drive around town easily, or hop on I-70 or I-25 and head to the mountains in 1-2 hours. We even have two restaurants mentioned in the Michelin Guide just a short walk or drive. There is plenty of space and a well-equipped kitchen for hosting summer BBQs or watching playoff games on our movie-screen downstairs. Upstairs Living Room The upstairs is brightly lit and offers an open kitchen, living room, and dining area for 6 people. Relax watching one of your favorite TV shows or movies on the wall-mounted 50-inch Smart TV. You’re welcome to use our Hulu,or Disney+ accounts or sign into one of your own. We are always adding to our friend and family friendly game collection, as well. Stop on by to see what you’ll be playing tonight for game night! Dining Area Our bar-height table can easily accommodate 6 adults for a home-cooked meal or takeout from one of Denver’s many delicious local restaurants. It is also a large, quiet place to work during the day with a large window looking over the front garden. Kitchen Prepare a quick snack or a home cooked meal in the fully-stocked kitchen. It features concrete countertops and modern appliances, including a refrigerator, gas stove, double oven, microwave, toaster, blender, and coffee maker, plus coffee, tea, and all the cooking essentials you'll need if you want to cook a meal. We have endless recommendations for restaurants and meal delivery, as well (see our guide for more info!). Parents, don’t worry about packing utensils and sippy cups—we have you covered. There is also a breakfast nook in the kitchen which is a great space for chatting while cooking or enjoying a quick-meal. Main Floor Master and Bath You’ll be well, rested in the main floor master suite with a queen-sized Casper mattress. The attached bath has a large shower with a rock floor and dual sinks. Enjoy the natural light that will wake you up from the east-facing window in the bathroom. Store all the gear and layers you need to enjoy Colorado’s predictably unpredictable weather in our large walk-in closet. Main Floor Bedroom 2 A second bedroom on the main floor features a wall mural and large windows for plenty of sunlight (and blackout curtains for sleeping in). The double bed will leave you well-rested, and the closet has plenty of space for clothes. Main Floor Bathroom 2 The bathroom is clean and fully stocked with bright lighting, large mirror, and hotel-grade towels. You'll find a shower stocked with shampoo and conditioner and body wash for your needs. Downstairs Family Room The downstairs family room is perfect for watching football or movies! Relax on the large leather couch and catch your favorite team or enjoy a movie together. You’re welcome to use our Hulu,or Disney+ accounts or sign into one of your own using the Apple TV. When the movie screen is off, kids will enjoy their own play space and adults can choose from a variety of books to enjoy while relaxing. Downstairs Office and Yoga Space Work remotely at our dedicated workspace with a view of the backyard and high-speed internet. Two monitors are available with an HP docking station. Take a break from work or life and stretch or workout in the yoga and meditation space in the office. Downstairs Bathroom 3 The bathroom is clean and fully stocked with bright lighting, large mirror, dual-sinks, and hotel-grade towels. You'll find a bath and shower stocked with shampoo and conditioner and body wash for your needs. Downstairs Bedroom 3 A third bedroom downstairs enjoys plenty of southern sunlight (and blackout curtains for sleeping in). The queen bed will leave you well-rested, and the closet has plenty of space for clothes. Bedroom connects directly to the bathroom. Laundry Room Don’t overpack! In the laundry room we have a full-size high-efficiency washer and dryer with detergent provided. Mud Room Upon entry to our home, you’ll find a large bench to help in peeling off your snow boots or prepare you to lace up your hiking boots. There is plenty of storage for all the shoes you’ll bring to enjoy a variety of activities in Denver and hooks to hang the many layers. Backyard Enjoy your morning coffee, working from our backyard patio with Wi-Fi, or grill some fresh food from a local farmer’s market in our backyard…(we’ve been trying out our Colorado-friendly gardening.) We invite you to share the backyard and grill with us or the guests in our guesthouse above the garage. Depending on the season you’ll find a variety of local, water-friendly plants in bloom, a small grassy area to lounge and play, and a large, comfortable seating area for working, socializing, or enjoying a freshly prepared (or delivered) meal. Entry Guests can park in the driveway in front of the house and enter the space through a well-lit private entrance through the backyard and around the back of the house using a self-check-in experience! Feel free to come and go as you please, though, we are available for any needs. There is plenty of street parking in front of the house, as well – please pay attention to street sweeping signs in April-November. Between the light rail, bus service, car shares (e.g., uber/lyft), and scooter/bike rentals, it's also easy to get around Denver without a car.
