We really enjoyed our time here. Such a beautiful location. Lovely and clean, comfortable and really well thought out space. The hot tub was easy it use - bring sandals/shoes to get in and out as there is a gravel path. The grounds are incredible, could easily have spent our 3 days lazing around there but a short walk into Kingsbridge and there are nice shops and pubs. We got the ferry to Salcome, mill bay and got the bus back. Very easy! Very friendly hosts, will definitely try to return here when we can. Highly recommend.
Our stay was wonderful. Beautiful and peaceful location with amazing birdsong, quirky and fantastic lodge and layout, with wood fired hot tub and internal wood burner. Walkable distance to Kingsbridge too. Thank-you!
The surroundings are absolutely stunning, starting the day in the hot tub listening to the birds sing was blissful! Everything you could possibly need has been thought of and the beds are very comfortable (particularly with the heated matresses)! Paul and Julia were very friendly and helpful (particularly when one of our children was poorly in the night) - will definitely be back and would recommend to others for a unique glamping experience. Our 4 and 8 year old loved every moment from building the fire every day to sleeping in the fairy light lit cabin - just magic! Thank you!
We had a truly fantastic time in Cedar Lodge. Stayed during a cold and wet spell, but the log burner quickly made the place super cosy. The furnishings and bedding meant the place felt so very welcoming from the outset. The lodge was amazing, the layout, the facilities, the balcony and that hot tub, just epic. Paul and Julie were great too! Really gave us all the privacy we could hope for, but would respond within a few minutes if contacted. Had such a nice time, no doubt we will be looking to book again!!

Lower Coombe Royal is on the edge of the market town of Kingsbridge, a lively community with a range of local amenities two minutes by car and ten minutes by foot. It offers restaurants, cafes, delis, boutique clothes shops, a local fishmongers, butchers and grocers. A local farm market is held every fortnight. Lower Coombe Royal is set in 8 acres of historic gardens and woodlands; there is children's play area with trampoline and a football pitch. Our family moved to live at Lower Coombe Royal 3 years ago. I grew up in Devon and had longed to return. Since then we have been very busy renovating the house, gardening, building Glamping Lodges and enjoying the beaches and surrounding countryside. It really is a magical place to live. On site we have the Garden Rooms (a one bed apartment in the lower ground floor of the main house), The Loft (a one bed apartment above our garage). There is a 3 bedroom cottage called the Coach House which sleeps 6 people.At times the main house may also be available to rent out. New for Summer 2020 we have 3 Glamping Lodges. Our lodges are nestled in the sides of a valley in our private estate. Each Safari Lodge has been considerately positioned to offer stunning, private views of the treetops and beyond into the valley. Our lodges offer a comfortable, private sanctuary for 6 guests within three bedrooms and include a log burner, well-equipped kitchen, bathroom, lounge & wood fired hot tub.
