We stayed at Christmas and had a lovely time. House is well equipped and has beautiful views. Jeanne was responsive to an issue and we were pleased with our stay using the fireplace and large dining table to have great family dinners.

Beautiful spot! Unfortunately, we stayed the weekend of the hurricane. The host was great to get back to us. There was a generator on site.

Beautiful views. We enjoyed watching the sun rise on one side of the house and the sunset on the other side. The large windows in the livingroom were good for enjoying the views. However, they also let in a lot of sunlight that was almost blinding at times and very hot when sitting at the large table eating meals. Curtains/blinds would have helped to keep the heat out during the day. Unfortunately the owner had already put on the storm windows and doors incase of storms. That made it EXTREMELY hot in the house. It was 80 degrees out and it was like an oven inside! I emailed Jeanne about it, the owner said we could remove a couple of the storm windows and put in some screens, but not all of them. It helped cool a few areas but it was stifling inside the house without being able to open all the windows. We left the doors open a crack to get a cross breeze, but there were no screen doors to keep the flys out. At night it was uncomfortably hot and sticky to try to sleep in that heat.

We loved Jeanne’s place! Gorgeous setting, very clean, very comfortable, and very well equipped. Lots of comfy seating and comfy beds, everything you need in the kitchen, and a super great location. Quick drives to Halifax, Lunenburg and Peggy’s Cove. Lovely sunsets and sunrises! Jeanne was always quick to respond and her guide extremely comprehensive. Recommend to anyone looking for a big space to hang out with family or friends and close to the city without being in it.
