Very nice place. Very close to the train station, not far away, but the stairs are narrow for those who have large luggage. The room is wide enough for us. The owner is very kind and good.

For the location and season in which I stayed, it was worth it. The room would have felt more spacious but there was a broken futon and a TV stand in the room which made it hard to maneuver and I didn't feel like the futon needed to be there if three people were staying in the space since we could just use the beds to sit on. There were a few things that I hadn't encountered before, like needing to leave cash after finishing our stay for a new city tax, although when I've stayed in other places in Kyoto after the tax was introduced that wasn't the case and all costs were charged through AirBnB, but otherwise the stay was good for just a few nights. I give it 4 stars because the location couldn't be beat, especially during hanami (cherry blossom viewing) season which it's very hard to find accommodations for 3 during that time.

everything went well, it was a very nice stay, except the check in was bad. They sent a message that there would be staff on site during the day, but there was no staff at any time, so there was no way to leave a bag. Plus when I arrived at the check in time, the room was not ready, I had to leave again and come back an hour later. Otherwise it was a nice room in a great location.

Easy 5 minute walk to Kyoto station. Check in was easy. We were allowed to leave our bags outside of the door but not enter until the room was clean. There was no one at the front desk during our stay but there is a phone number they give you to communicate with someone off site. Very clean, very comfortable beds, very nice bathroom The key took us a minute to find. They store it in a lockbox next to the door behind a panel. 5 stars!
