Adam is a great host- very accommodating and communicative. The lodge exceeded expectations and made for the perfect weekend for our large family. When we first arrived we all had to take a tour so we wouldn’t get lost in the many rooms! We had gorgeous weather and were able to spend the day outside playing on the basketball courts, games on the lawn, and enjoyed some time down by the lake. Even if we wouldn’t have been lucky with the weather, there was more than enough room inside with the large kitchen, living room, and game room in the basement. I was worried we might not have enough parking spots before we arrived but there was more than plenty of space. I appreciated that the 2 master bedrooms were isolated and in a separate wing from the rest of the bedrooms. It allowed some of us to stay up late while our grandparents and little ones could rest without being disturbed. My favorite part of the lodge was the indoor fireplace. Made a great spot to spend the evening after a cool fall day! Adam- thanks for making this weekend memorable for my family!

Very unresponsive host that provides inaccurate listing for the property just so he makes money and cares less of hospitality. Unfortunate that he wons the property. Not recommended to rent from him. We are providing our feedback for the stay at your property Ackwood Lodge in Hayward, WI. We ended up being a smaller group due to the COVID. The house was decent, but we didn’t get a complete service for the money that we paid. Below is a list of identifying issues: 1. The entire house has an odor that should be listed as detailed information on Airbnb. 2. No towels were provided, and Airbnb has listed as part of the item available to the guest. The late communication of towels not being available since COVID was sent to the group after we had looked all over the house and asked the host. Knowingly or NOT knowingly if the booking was going to cancel, the host should have made the effort to notify us about the towels. Our group was unprepared regarding the towels and we had to buy in the area. 3. Bathrooms had no extra rolls of toilet paper, we had to grab from the bathrooms that we didn’t use. Toilet bowls were uncleaned with the disgusting yellow cover below the water line. Very unsafe with the COVID going around. 4. Furnace in the bedrooms side of the house broke since the next morning and the host communicated that he couldn’t do anything until Monday after our departure. 5. Dishwasher didn’t work no matter what we tried. The cycle time lit up, but it wouldn’t start. No operating instructions were made accessible to guest therefore we did all the dishes by hand during our stay. 6. Spider webs were part of the lamp hanging above the dining table in the big fireplace room. No one would want to eat in table when you know something might be crawling down from the hanging lamps. We would like 30% discount of $2,679.49 that is paid from Emi’s credit card which is $803.84 to refund back. These issues will be shared to Airbnb for future consideration.

We had a large group of family and the space in the home was great and allowed us all to have our own space as well as space to spend quality time together. The home is beautiful and has a great view of the lake. The only potential issue we saw was if you had many boats for a larger group you may need to pull them in and out as there is one dock that has space for about 4 boats but other than that everything was great! Would highly recommend!
