wonderful place to stay with family very nice host
What a great place to stay honestly. Right in the mountains, but close to town for all your local needs. The pictures of the house and property do not do enough justice to how great this house is, especially for large groups! Me and my friends went up for our yearly ski trip and this was exactly the space we needed. Thank you to Colleen and Darius for a great experience and look forward to coming back in the future!
This is the second time our hiking/x-country ski group has stayed here. It's by far one of our favorite Airbnb's. Great location, wonderful accommodations, and the fireplace in the living room, where we enjoyed the warm of the fire after a day on the ski trails, was the perfect end to a perfect day in the snow. We definitely plan to return next year.
A peaceful location for our family to get together. We enjoyed the hike to the creek, and the kids loved feeding the donkey and goats. Also, easy access to shopping in Bennington. The large living room was a focal point for the family to gather in the evenings. Lots of room for games, puzzles, reading and just spending time together. The bedrooms are situated so that you can have private time away from the activities if needed. The dining room is perfect size for family meals and the kitchen is well equipped for cooking them.
I held a 50th surprise birthday gaming weekend at White Rock for my husband and we had a wonderful time! Our guests loved the farmhouse, especially the fireplace, and the large living room and big dining room table were perfect for us to spread out and play boardgames all weekend. I do a lot of cooking for guests and I found the kitchen easy to work in, plus it was stocked with a lot of dry goods staples in case we forgot something of our own. The owners were easy to work with, the space comfortable, and we absolutely loved meeting the goats and Enchilada the burro!

White Rock Farm is owned by the Cosenza and Sollohub families and managed on a day-to-day basis by Colleen and Geoff Gore, who live next door. Geoff grew up on the farm when it was owned by his parents. As stewards, these families open the farm for appreciating and understanding the agricultural and natural landscape. The Gores continue to keep a small compliment of livestock in the barn. Darius Sollohub and Joe Cosenza have a vision for expansion on the farm, including sustainable forestry, regenerative farming, and the improvement of host ecosystems. Both farming and new building will strive toward a carbon neutrality based on green energy applications and well insulated construction. An expanding hospitality component at the farm will showcase these various forms of stewardship, combining education with the promotion of sustainable agricultural practices.
