GOOD - Photos are accurate, house is beautiful. - A/C worked very well - Pool/deck/view is STUNNING - Practically private beach (across the street and go through clearing in the bushes) - Bolted down safe for cash/passports; Simplisafe system connected to the police dept. BAD - Security is a big concern (across the island esp. in tourist areas). Close shutters, lock all doors/windows, turn on alarm system every time you leave & while sleeping - House is NOT small child friendly – many steps, Child hazard on 2nd floor and by the pool. FYI - 3 other rental cottages behind the house share the driveway, but the pool is private - The driveway is long, narrow, difficult to maneuver a large car - Hottub is NOT hot just a small pool - No beach chairs/umbrellas for the beach. No snorkeling equipment. Pool towels are available. - Note: Be aware the price of food at grocery store is very high. $18 for a watermelon, $17 for double box of cereal. Chicken $16/lb. Rum is cheaper than milk!

There are two separate reviews that need to be written. One review on the house itself and one review on the agency that the house and all other amenities are booked through. (This review only gives me a certain amount of space for writing so I can’t go through all the details but all in all there were issues with both.) All the activities and car was paid for in advance and everything was set but whatever was booked either did not work out or we had an issue with. The car we booked was not available right away. We had no hot water for the first two days and had to deal with the plumbers at 9: 30 in the morning for over two hours. Not the host of the house, but me. A few things were broken like some electric shades and the wifi kept on dropping. And our main issue was many people for maintenance or cleaning kept on showing up when we requested 3 times for no one to come as we wanted our privacy. Another main thing is that the photos here are heavily edited. I would not recommend this

No hot water 50% of the time. I fell through the deck (could have been one of my kids). No extra blankets, sheets or towels (1 towel per person for the trip). No electricity in some of the outlets. After we asked about the hot water. They took us around to smaller, less updated properties (cheaper) and said we could pack up and move there (no discussion of compensation). But in the end it was too much work to move 4 kids and 8 adults (one property had rats). Explained this to host, was advised to contact after we left. When we left they became unresponsive. Probably to stall so they could get past the 72 window where AirBNB can issue a refund. Gave me a number to call that only returned busy signals when I got back to the US. Strongly suggest staying away from this property owner group.

Similar to other reviews, this is a lovely, large home literally 5 mins from the airport. All the rooms inside were spacious and clean, the kitchen was huge. The outdoor space for us was the highlight - the views of the ocean, the pool, the large dining table, loungers and lots of other places to hang out. The beach across the street was beautiful, practically deserted and the water and sand were amazing. It's about a 15-20 minute taxi to places like Baha Mar where there are bars, restaurants, and of course the casino, or to the other end of the island which is also really nice. The location worked for us, we liked that it was quieter. A few things missing that were on the listing but not at the house were toiletries, hairdryer and filtered water/ice cubes. I would just check on those before arrival to know if you need to pack or buy there. Unfortunately the house was burglarized while we were there which was really upsetting. While personal effects were taken and the place was ransacked, we were thankful we were not there when it happened and that our important things like money and passports were in the safe. The police came and we filed a report. We locked all the doors and future guests should ask about the alarm system as we were not told there was one or how to use it. The break-in may still have happened regardless of whether the alarm was on, but we assume it would have triggered a notification that would have prompted the police to come before we even knew there was a break-in. I echo another person's feedback about communication channels. Airbnb says not to communicate outside of their app/platform, but we were told we needed to contact the manager about check in via text. It became confusing about who we were supposed to contact about what so either have one channel or let people know in advance how you operate and who the point of contact is for all. We had to follow up multiple times about the security deposit being released and the refund for the nights we couldn't stay because of the burglary. Given the circumstances, it would have been nice if we didn't have to do that. Bahamas is beautiful, the people were lovely everywhere we went, we had some fabulous meals and nights out, and I would go back despite our experience.

We enjoyed our stay at this location. It was for my wife’s 40th birthday. The host was very accommodating and provided great communication.We brought our children along we must say this place is not small child friendly. Overall we enjoyed the views and privacy.
