5 out of 5! Amazing experience to disconnect in an amazing location, surrounded by mountains, glaciers and farm animals. The hosts are super friendly. Despite a big storm and rainy weather we had a great cabin experience :) bring a book and warm clothes. The heating is good but it can get chilly when it’s very windy outside. Additional tips: - the ferry Hellesylt to Geiranger is every 3 hours and ca 100 Eur by car. We recommend to plan a visit around the stay, otherwise not practical - driving up we encountered a sheep pen, 2 sheep escaped (in a sneaky way), and we had to get them back in - just a tip to be aware :) they are faster than they look ! - be aware that the goats go on the car with the hooves (!) it’s difficult to move them, we had to honk and drive a bit faster - bring the small tea lights as there are plenty of holders - in case you haven’t used a gas lamp, it may be worth a quick search beforehand ;)

We spent three nights in this cosy little cabin at the end of a beautiful hidden valley. A calm and beautiful place to unwind with amazing views at the surrounding mountains and waterfalls and the river that flows by the cabin. From the latter we got water for cooking and rinsing dishes. Even if its water was pretty cold we enjoyed bathing in the river. The outhouse is located right next to the cabin. In the mornings we would be wakend by the bells of the goats that roamed the surrounding grassland. There are great hiking trails starting practically at your doorstep, the host provided helpful information. We didn't miss being connected to WiFi and phone line but felt relaxed without it. A really special place!

Het was een unieke ervaring. we voelde ons het als Heidi boven op de alm. Verder deed het ons herinneren aan de tijd van onze ouders met buitentoilet en geen electriciteit en stromend water. wij waren met 4 personen. mensen langer dan 1.80 m moeten op een laag zoldertje met stijl trapje, slapen of op de bank. Voor ons geen probleem. Ondanks regen was het een unieke ervaring.

We loved the unforgettable view up there in the mountains. It’s really a special experience out there without electricity and direct water. You can really disconnect and enjoy the nature! Just be aware that you might have to scare some goats off the road before you get through, loud clapping helps ;)

Cabaña tradicional paradisíaca entre las nubes y montañas con un riachuelo al lado. Estancia absolutamente recomendable para desconectar y disfrutar de la naturaleza salvaje de Noruega.
