The place was beautiful. The caretaker was extremely helpful. He helped with our baggage and was always available to help out.

The apartments are new - on the hillside overlooking Ella - they get sun from 10am to 6pm. The road is just off the main drag - about 1km from Ella central and 3km from Adams Peak. Walk into town is 10 minutes. I dont think staying in the centre of Ella is great as its too tourist focussed, 1 or 2 km outside is best. Chamith the host is great - he couldnt do enough for us - cooked breakfast each day, drove us 5 hours to the Elephant Safari, got his mates to lend us scooters when the local hire firm couldnt supply, even took ius to his fave bar (one Love) to hang out with his mates and the locals - much better than the Chill Cafe that is 100% tourists. He will answer any questions, and pick you up from the station, help book train tickets - he is a very cool guy. The place is brand new and finished to a good specification as Chamith is a carpenter. The place is still being developed - they are building 2 extra floors on top - but they dont work when guests are there so you wont wake up to drilling etc.

It was a great time in this beautiful place, great view and amazing home. I just had some issues and I am sure the host responsibility is so high and will be fixed soon. -Because of lacking an entrance guard or door, many dogs came exactly behind our room's door and barking a lot till morning that we couldn't sleep well. -There was no water pump so water pressure was very low and we couldn't take shower. Except that it was an enjoying time and will recommend to those who wants to see a beautiful landscape. Be happy Always. John
