This place is located in a small village. Everyone knows everyone - so you stick out, and the place is shut down pretty early. It was an hour from Cordoba and 1 1/2 hrs from Granada, which is where we were visiting. It is not a place for a late Spanish meal. The house it self was comfortable even though it was like a museum. Pieces of art are everywhere - even in the bathrooms. We spent our last night there walking around like an art gallery discussing each piece. The beds were comfortable and the shutters made the rooms totally dark. The coffee maker was not working but the coffee around the corner at Tony's bar was amazing and cheap - so didn't care after we discovered that. FYI for ladies hair - there was no blow dryer. The only item I would have liked - but I did not check to see if it was included, so maybe was not listed. I assumed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This is an amazing house in a peaceful rural village. It's a bit like a museum, full of art and antiquities, really interesting and quirky. We travelled in March and we found the house a bit cold but we lit a lovely fire in the evening. A huge amount of space and always something to look at. We really felt like this was a stay in a private home. It truly is unique.

A beautiful house filled with interesting art and antiques but comfortable not intimidating. It is in a quiet village which is a real Spanish experience, everyone was very friendly. We enjoyed a morning coffee at the cafes before sightseeing and found the bakery for bread for breakfast. Alberto suggested we did a big shop in Malaga before arriving and this was definitely worth doing for basics as local shops have limited provisions. The views from the back over the mountain are stunning and we ate our breakfast with the windows open enjoying the view. The beds are super comfy and the bedding is good quality cotton, the air conditioning is fans in the bedrooms. There are plenty of good quality towels. The property is ideally located to explore Cordoba and Granada and the highlight was walking the Caminto Del Rey which was stunning! We did do a day trip to Seville but really needed longer to explore as it was quite a long journey. There is a swimming pool down the road which looked lovely although we didn’t get to visit it because of time. Alberto was good at communicating and speaks great English, we would definitely recommend this property. We would like to return when the weather is cool to experience the open fire.

Hemos estado como en casa. Decoración exquisita, chimenea que funciona de maravilla, camas muy cómodas, cocina muy equipada, comedor con vistas a la montaña, vajilla de la Cartuja Preciosa y muy buena atención por parte de los anfitriones.
