The Spring View Cabin has spectacular views overlooking beautiful Black River and Keener Spring which is one of the largest privately owned springs in the country emitting 14 million gallons per day. The spring and the unique, water filled Keener Cave are the focal points of the 65 acre property. There are numerous places including our gravel bar within walking distance to BBQ, picnic, or just relax in the sunshine with your favorite beverage. Park like setting with picnic tables by river. Private gravel bar to soak up the sun.

The area and location of this cabin are lovely. The furnishings are a bit basic, but we were comfortable and had what we needed. Also, a great location for taking in the total solar eclipse!

I loved the spring and the cave! Its a beautiful place and perfect if you a want a break from the city/ burbs. The view from the bedroom and in the deck was spectacular.
This place was gorgeous and relaxing. You can go for a walk, swim, or fish. Just a peaceful place to go relax.

Keener Springs has a magnificent history in Wayne County. In 1838 & 1839 Cherokee Indians were marched to Oklahoma on the Trail of Tears. During this migration Keener Springs and Cave was a watering hole.
During the Civil War, Keener Springs, served as a military hospital for the wounded. The old rock wall still remains showing the boundaries of the road leading down to the river where they would cross.
In 1872 a mill was built at Keener Springs and was the only grist mill in the area. Sadly it was destroyed in a record flood in 1915.
Rural setting on river banks or Black River. There are 3 cabins on the property within eyesight but definitely not too close. There are no street lights on the property so keep that in mind for check in (which is by (9:00 for that reason).
Parking is next to cabin.

When I used to come to Keener Springs when I was in High School with a large group of friends I never would have dreamed I would be living here with my Husband, Lee of 20 years. It all started when we decided not to buy a camper to park on the property by the river. Instead we remodeled the Spring House and lived there during the summer of 2004. We enjoyed it so much that we sold our home in Poplar Bluff and made Keener Springs our permanent residence. We lived in the Spring house for about two years and then remodeled the larger old care taker home on the property, where we still live today. I think it's kind of funny by not buying a camper my whole life changed definitely for the better! Now we get to share our property with you and your family.
