We chose Johanna & Paul’s cottage for our girls weekend as it was the midpoint between our homes in North Carolina and Pennsylvania. The home was extremely clean, had everything we needed and more. Johanna & Paul were very quick to respond, left suggestions of places to go (definitely check out the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum) and made check in and check out very easy. We loved the peaceful setting and spent our nights laughing on the front porch. The cottage has a fully stocked kitchen as well as tons of games/activities for guests. I highly recommend this cottage!

Johanna and Paul's place is a very different Airbnb. It is a place where you can truly get away and enjoy nature. It is in the midst of rural Appalachian beauty but they provide all the comforts of being in town. We especially liked how much time they took to provide indoor games and outdoor activities such that there was little need to be missing the Internet. The amount of places to hike, swim, canoe, kayak etc. Are abundant and at your fingertips.

Johanna & Paul were very responsive throughout our booking which was great as we needed to make some changes. We were able to speak to them immediately about any concerns. We did wish we had read the information more carefully about lack of wi-fi and little to no cell service. Depending on your carrier you might be able to send a text but with our carrier we were unable to use any communication at all. This was a lovely and comfortable place to stay, especially if you want to disconnect.
