Closest to the Private Beach was awesome! Great location, clean and up to date! We would definitely go back!

This location is perfect! Just a short walk to the beach. The beaches are not overcrowded but it is located right next to the public beach access. You cannot rent a golf cart for this area and that was a but of a bummer for my son. But we did rent bikes and it is an easy ride to ice cream, coffee or nearby restaurants. It is also only about a mile ride to The Hub. The house has everything need for the beach including umbrellas, chairs, boogie boards and toys. There were plenty of towels and beach towels. We will definitely choose this place again!

Definitely NOT a private beach area. Should never be advertised as that. Mine as well be public around you. Host will not go oot of their way to accommodate you, if anything goes wrong diring your stay. A HUGE leak occurred during our stay in the dining room, weren't able to fix, down to one shower during our stay with 4 people,.was up to us to.clean the mess everyday....however "don't let the nee floors get damaged " per the owner!!! WOW Allowed for difficult dinners. Wasted time waiting on maintenance guy, but leave your daughter alone while sleeping....they will be ok...y'all can leave, "owner say" or just check-out. REALLY!!!! They NEVER found the source of the leak by the way, coming everyday. Caulk a little aound the shower and said, "just dont use it" I even gotmin the shower for them to show them how it leaked when someone was in it. 🤦‍♀️We get one vacation with our girls a summer, due to sports. I would NEVER recommend this place. Not to mention, better have balance.while you sit on the toilet, lol its sinking into the floor. Choose wisely people!

Our family of five enjoyed staying at Steve's townhouse. Our teenage daughter was comfy on the pullout sofa with our two younger boys in the guest bedroom. The decor was nice, with lots of beach themed art around the house, some of it appearing to be original pieces. The kitchen is small but adequately stocked with cookware, dishes, and utensils. (The main thing we couldn't find when needed was a pizza cutter; you may want to pick one of those up.) As for location, you cannot ask for better proximity to the beach. The weather on our trip was disappointing, but we were at least able to get to and from the beach quickly when needed in between the storms. (Unfortunately, seaweed made the water murky and smelly most of the week.) I should note that having direct access to the private beach was an AMAZING perk of this property. The adjacent public beach was PACKED with groups that were 3 to 5 deep from the shore whereas getting right up to the waterline with ample privacy between parties was no issue at Walton Dunes. Lastly, the host's provided chairs, umbrellas, and beach toys were great to have. We especially enjoyed the big tube and pair of body boards! Steve lives a few doors down and keeps an eye on things, but he was in no way an overbearing host. His communication was great both before (e.g. restaurant suggestions) and during our visit. For example, the microwave died upon first use after we arrived on Saturday night. I texted Steve around 9pm and first thing the next morning he checked it out then installed a new unit before lunchtime. You can't ask for more responsiveness than that! Bottom line - We'll definitely consider this spot if we come back to the area in the future.

We love our time at Walton dunes. Location was absolutely amazing. Very sweet owners who responded quickly to any of my questions!!! I hope we get to come back!!
