great place to stay, super quiet and cozy... close to restaurants, some trails and like 4 minutes away from Big Bear Snow Play!!! Saving this one in our favorites list.

once I arrived to the cabin, I called for instructions to get in. they send me 5 miles away to sign paperwork, and then drive back to the cabin. didnt like it

Overall, the experience was somewhat of a bummer. Was psyched to get up to Big Bear, but it's barely getting 2 (and I'm being generous, lucky for you my wife isn't writing this review, because she'd probably give it 0 stars). I'll give you the Pros and Cons... Pros: good furniture to sit in, nice patio out front and in back with chairs, quiet neighborhood, cute cabin layout (with dining nook to eat at), has washer and dryer in bathroom, dishwasher, huge new fridge. Cons: non-existent housecleaning, hair in all corners from previous guests, pubic hair in the sheets, hair even in the fridge freezer, no spare sheets or towels provided in case of emergency, freezing cold back bedroom which needs additional heater to be adequate, strange customer service set-up (intended to buffer any problems with confusion about who is responsible), and the big kicker -- in Big Bear, you have to carry out your own trash! Can't use the trash bins! Just what you want to do at the end of your vacation -- take your trash to the dump! When we complained about the appalling lack of cleaning, we were told we would be reimbursed one night stay (on our receipt it was $340/night), but then we were reimbursed $125 because this was supposedly the nightly rate (according to Cool Cabins). Evidently, for a four night stay, there are over 1100 dollars in fees, since the whole bill came to 1600... Then they said they'd reimburse us for the difference ($231) after receiving the $125. They said it would be 5-7 business days, still haven't received the second refund. Buyer beware, a real disappointment.

Very responsive to requests and inquiries. Cute little cabin in a quiet neighborhood. Just a short drive to everything.

Nice place to stay while at big bear. The room with the big bed gets really cold at night so bring warm covers if possible.
