Once you've had your fill of all the fabulous things to do at Gleneagles hotel, there is plenty to do further afield.
Drummond Gardens are spectacular, about a 15 minute drive away and only £6 entry fee for adults.
Doune castle is also well worth a visit - particularly if you’re a Monty Python fan as they filmed some of The Holy Grail here and Terry Jones does the audio tour commentary.
Another recommendation for all Whiskey Connoisseurs has to be the fantastic Tullibardine Distillery, located in Blackford - the gateway to the Scottish Highlands. This site dates back to late 1940s as a distillery for producing hand crafted, Highland single malt Scotch whisky. Why not take a guided tour and gain a detailed insights into the craftsmanship and even sample a few wee drams for yourself .....
Further afield, why not take a trip to Scotlands oldest and most important Castle - located in Stirling! If you still have some energy left after this, why not turn the clock back 700 years and prepare yourself for medieval warfare at the interactive Battle of Bannockburn Visitor Centre. Loads of things for the full family to do including using the state-of-the-art 3D technology to hear from characters who fought in the battle or put your newfound knowledge to the test by taking part in a battle simulation game.
For those daredevils - why not use our stunning home as a fantastic base when Skydiving at Strathallan! This is situated in Auchterarder, which is ten minutes away by car.
My personal restaurant recommendation is the Tormaukin In Glendevon - hearty Scottish food and a fabulous drive down the glen to get there. Also nice walks nearby.

This property is a short distance from the A9, giving easy access to Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stirling and Perth, along with the railway station at Gleneagles situated close by. The city of Dundee can be reached in about a 40 minute drive and provides an airport with regular services to London Stansted.
There is a bus to the hotel from Gleneagles train station which is accessible from both Edinburgh and Glasgow.
