This was my second stay at Bruce House. I slept great, had an easy walk to great coffee and pastries in the morning and was very comfortable. When I visit Cumberland on my own, I’d much rather stay here than one of the chain hotels!

Pam is a very responsive and easy to reach host. The monk's room that we stayed in was very spacious ( looks like an attic room). She had left very clear instructions both to get into the room and on stuff available inside . There is a coffee maker and tea available at the common space with plenty of cutlery. All local suggestions and Pam's favourite are available through Alexa in the common space. Overall I rate the stay 9.5/10. Loved it !

The old house was in great shape, and the Monk's room on the third floor was charming. While we stopped over on a trip for just one night, this house and its location is deserving of an entire weekend or two! Everything was walkable with plenty of activities. It was only a block to the historic Washington Street with neat architecture. The street connected with the adorable downtown on Baltimore Street, as well as Canal Place with access to the train and Alleghany Passage hiking trail. The town of Cumberland is only 15 minutes from Frostburg, which is also worth a visit to do the Tracks & Yaks bike ride on the railroad tracks. Overall, a real gem of a place and location!

Exactly as pictured and super clean!! Loved the electric fireplace and old tub! Access to books and the tea station were such a nice touch and everything was so walkable ! Will definitely be back !! Thank you so much!
