Overall the experience at Candy’s place was great. The host respond quickly to any concerns and questions. The check-in instructions were very clear. Located in a nice area and is couple minutes from Vancouver. Main con - In bedroom, you hear water flushing from upstairs, sounds like water pouring down walls anytime upstairs uses it. During our stay we had loud people upstairs got no sleep for 3 nights due to upstairs people yelling/talking at 3am. You hear EVERYTHING upstairs does all throughout house. Overwhelming noisy. It was very cold and the heating system is not controlled by you. You need to alert the host if you want it warmer but has a limit. They did accommodate us when the system wasn’t heating properly by giving us a space heater. The bed sheets had yellow stains on the white sheets. The couch had a weird white stain on it. However, everything else was clean. Listed cons aren’t meant to deter you from staying here but so you are aware. The stay was overall enjoyable.

Great find. Very homely, clutter free, clean and upscale feel. It has all the amenities for a comfortable stay at a great price. Highly recommended.

Beautiful place, Vivian is very great and usually replies fast. Be prepared to buy everyday household kitchen items at your own expense if you are planning to cook at home lots. Bring your own can opener. Vivian was very helpful, she lent us child items like a big play pen for our daughter.

So first things first the place was not bad in ways of things like it was a bright, clean space, the bathroom is really nice, the shower is beautiful, and the hosts were responsive to any requests, however for the price there are definitely a few negatives. The place itself while nice is definitely not super user friendly if you’re there to hang around the house. I was in town for a medical appointment, and so was not able to so much, and while it says up to 4 people can stay here we were barely able to seat 2 comfortably as there is only one little loveseat that isn’t very comfortable and no other furniture besides the kitchen chairs though there’s definitely lots of space for another couch or a chair. Some things are out of anyones control, like the house has absolutely no soundproofing so you can hear every footstep and movement from the people upstairs, who have kids running around. You can the water rushing down the walls anytime the use the water. Also the people upstairs have a piano, and were up playing piano as early as 8am-9am some days, as well as throughout the evening. Despite that I didn’t want to complain as it seemed they live there and shouldn’t have to impede their daily lives to accommodate someone staying just a week, but still I can’t imagine renting an air bnb in a basement where someone owns a piano. All in all it wasn’t a bad stay at all it was a beautiful suite but for the price considering the children and the piano upstairs and the zero soundproofing I wouldn’t recommend it.
