The Bunkhouse @Windaboo is the oh-so- slightly more rough and tumble baby brother of The Cottage @Windaboo. Both are set on a magical 127 acres of rolling green hills, remnant rainforest with flora and fauna galore. Guests can wander along bush tracks to the swimming hole, go for a trek up "the mountain" and meet our equine kids along the way. Windaboo is a working farm situated around 30 mins from Byron, 40 mins to Ballina airport, 60 mins from Coolangatta Airport. The Bunkhouse is smothered in natural light given it's northerly aspect, multiple sliding glass doors and windows. It has polished concrete floors throughout to compliment a mix of modern and antique rugs, artwork and eclectic pieces. It is comprised of 2 bedrooms, one with ensuite and an open plan living, dining, kitchen area & a separate bathrooms. Bedrooms can be configured with king beds that can be configured to 4 long singles or a combo of both!! The larger bedroom has a new sofa bed. Luxury linen is provided as are tea, coffee and basic essentials for cooking (oil, vinegar, S + P; the things people forget to bring :)). Complimentary high-speed internet, Netflix, a DVD player, Bluetooth stereo and an array of board games and lawn games are available to guests as well as Yoga mats and picnic blankets. For larger groups or extended families of up to 16 people, we suggest booking all of Windaboo.

Such a nice place to stay, the host was very friendly and accommodating. Defiantly would reccomend anyone stay here if looking for a relaxing and luxurious get away.
Very responsive, made our stay much better than expected. We were there for just a casual night out but they made sure it was an experience. Kip introduced with his horses and goats which we all enjoyed and skye was very welcominand we loved the free range eggs and organic mushrooms from their farm. Too bad we were there for just a night, highly recommend to stay multiple nights to those who enjoy exploring country lifestyle.
Windaboo and the hosts are awesome. Great place to relax and enjoy nature and 30 minutes to the beaches in Byron Bay. so the best of country and beaches. Thanks to Skye the kids loved the place and the time she gave them from her busy days running a working farm.
Such a great stay in the beautiful hinterland. Skye’s bunk house was so comfy. Felt so welcome and the mushrooms grown on the property were unbelievable. Definitely recommend couples or families with four legged companions to stay here. We’ll be back. X
Windaboo is such a magical and special place. A true fairyland full stunning gardens and well looked after animals. Our farm stay was absolutely gorgeous! We were so blessed to take our fur kids. They loved their time on the property just as much as we did! It really was quite hard to leave! Skye was so accommodating and friendly. We can’t wait to return!

Doma Cafe (one of the best breakfast/ brunches/ lunches around) and The Federal Store are 10 minutes drive. Clunes Store is around 15 mins away and Bangalow around 20 mins drive (for pub grub). Clunes generally have a pizza night on Thursday evenings as does Repentance Creek Hall on Friday evenings.
Use of our barbecue can be arranged on request.
Best way to get to Windaboo is via car.

I adore hosting people who see & feel the magic and healing qualities of this incredible property, it’s fauna & flora. I love good food, good grog, a good laugh, koala spotting, the good life with my beloved Windaboo & crew & generally running amok, making the absolute best of every day...
