My son and I celebrated his 21st birthday with a trip to Barbados and stayed at Matthew’s place for the weekend. The unit is located at the tip of Holetown; a high-end neighborhood with plenty of gated communities comprising the majority of residential units. The apartment is comfortable and well located for an easy walk to the beach, local restaurants and the Chabad. All the appliances were recently renovated except for the stove (which was functional but requires starting manually with a match). The bathroom was clean and the water pressure in the shower more than adequate (not all Barbados homes can say that). There is one A/C unit in the bedroom which is more than adequate to cool the living/kitchen area if you keep the door open. I would recommend staying here if you are on a budget and aren’t in the mood to bake anything. (There is a microwave and refrigerator both in excellent condition). 1 item: the location on Apple Maps is faulty; follow provided directions.

The Shalom apartment in Barbados is one of the best properties I have ever had the pleasure of staying at on the island. It is situated on the main road, minutes to a calm beach, shops to buy food and drinks, beach bars/restaurants, and one of the best views for sunsets. The apartment itself is spacious and has all of the amenities you need. Matthew was very hospitable and made sure that I had everything I needed. I would highly recommend staying at the Shalom home for your next stay in Barbados.
