The Studio Backpacker is a 4 bedroom Indonesian style hostel, located in the valley of The Hill, Duduk Jero. We provide low cost accommodation aimed at backpackers. You can rent the rooms with single beds for up to 2 guests; shared local style bathroom and kitchen area. The Studio Backpacker is situated in a quiet lane, 5 minutes walk to the beach, 15 minute walk to Senggigi. Duduk Jero is a green and peaceful escape from the busy streets of Senggigi. Cleaning service fee and provision of clean bath towel is $5.00 USD per guest. Looking for clean and cheap backpacker accommodation? Senggigi is a beautiful area. Our Studio Backpacker offers a unique living experience, just away from the busy main road in a quiet, leafy lane, close to forest and rural areas, yet only five minutes from the attractions of Senggigi.

This is a beautiful green part of Indonesia, at the foot of coastal hills and a stones-throw away from the beach. The local Sasak and Balinese cultures are colourful. The people are welcoming and friendly. The beaches are gorgeous.
The Studio Backpacker is a two-three minute walk to the main road, where you can jump on a local minibus. You can also call a taxi, cheap and readily available. Motorbikes are available to hire at low cost from us or from Senggigi. Bikes can be securely parked at the Studio Backpacker.

I am an Australian educator. I moved to Indonesia in 1992. My wife, Sopantini is from Yogyakarta in Java. In 1999 we relocated to Lombok, where with friends we founded an international school and set up the Studio. Together with the community we created the Hill, an ecofriendly development in the hills above Senggigi on Lombok's west coast.
