Our stay at St. Killian's Cottage was quite an experience! The cottage is a big open space which adds to the feeling of being in an old Irish building, but with the necessary modern adaptations for an easy stay. Marie (the co-host) was always very helpful and responsive and gave us all the support we needed. The surroundings are unbelievable and the kids took the most advantage of Curragh Bay beach, juts at the foot of the cottage. Ardmore is a nice little village but with a lot to explore: the cliff walk, Ardmore beach, the ceramic shops, the round tower and cemetery... Close by, mainly for the kids, the Ardmore Pet farm and mini zoo guarantees a fun day out. We couldn't recommend more the White Horses restaurant for their delicious seafood and deserts and the Garden & Kitchen café fort their salads and sandwiches. We will definitely come back when the weather is warmer to enjoy fully the beach and the sun! The Valinhas family.

We had a lovely few nights in the cottage. It is as peaceful and close to the beach as the listing describes. We had lots of recommendations in the handy book left. Marie was so lovely and helpful and came to check on us, and helped us with the fire! There is plenty of kitchen & washing essentials. The only thing to note is that you have to pay for the electricity you use whilst you stay here (even though the first 30 units are included). It is in the listing but I completely glossed over it when booking. Just worth a note. Could only recommend this peaceful lovely place. Nothing better than the fire lit and a sunset walk on the beach!

The cottage is very comfortable, the location is beautiful and very close to the lovely Curragh beach. Marie was very friendly and helpful and always responsive to calls. Ardmore is a 20 minute walk along the beach and very pleasant. We had a very relaxing few days, I would highly recommend Petra's place.

Stunning location at a quiet sheltered beach. Easy to find using Eircode. House is rustic but comfortable and clean and has everything you could need. Marie the host was fantastic. Great welcome & instructions for the house. Came to our rescue promptly when we locked ourselves out! Despite it being August we lit the stove in the evenings. No central heating but gas & electric heaters provided & electric blankets. I would be nervous of the river with young children. It was perfect for our family
