The place was tastefully made as shown in the listing. Well maintained and very clean. Had an artistic touch all over the place. The sitout behind was nice but could not enjoy the evenings due to too much mosquitoes inspite of the pedestal fan provided. The lawn and garden is really nice but needs more maintenance. The caretaker Kalyani is very pleasing and cooks very tasty Bengali cuisines.She is an asset of the property. Only problem is outside food is not allowed which really restricted us of evening snacks of different cuisines. Feel,the owner should allow outside food as being a traveller, you will not always like to have the same Bengali food ,we have in our house.Let the choice be with the guests. Although we stayed for 5 nights,the owner did not contact to enquire about our stay ,which should have been done as courtesy demands. We of course did not face any problem due to the ever smiling caretaker. Overall it was a good stay in a nice locality. Would surely recommend.

I had an incredibly enjoyable stay at this peaceful heaven in Shantiniketan. The lush greenery surrounding the property is nothing short of remarkable, ensuring a delightful experience throughout my time there. The caretaker, Kalyani Di, is an exceptional hostess. Her culinary skills are simply delightful. Her warmth and care made the experience even more memorable. Additionally, Shyamal babu's friendly demeanor and invaluable assistance during the bustling Poush Mela made a significant difference. His guidance and patience in navigating the area were indispensable. Despite the challenges of accessing Shantiniketan during the festival, Shyamal babu's proactive help and detailed instructions were a lifesaver. His timely communication and on-the-spot guidance made the trip hassle-free. I wholeheartedly recommend this property to anyone seeking a serene retreat in Shantiniketan. The exceptional hospitality and tranquil ambiance make it a place I'd love to revisit numerous times.

The Airbnb is perfect for a lazy staycation! The venue is tucked away in the corner of the city and it has a very calm and serene vibe to it. The House's construction and its artwork inside gives you the sense of homely comfort and makes you think about the thought that has gone behind the decoration of the house. The backyard garden is very well maintained and you could spend an entire day just sitting and basking in the sun looking at the flowers and the one small bird house. Mr. Shyamal was a great host who checked up on us everyday, but interfered very minimally - which is appreciated. Finally, all props to Kalyani di (the property's caretaker) who took care of us as if we were her own family. If you decide to book this airbnb, please only have food cooked by her - it beats any restaurant food hands down. She made the stay that much more comfortable and enjoyable. Highly recommend that you book this property once you visit Shantiniketan!
