We stayed here for a few days to view the eclipse. The rooms were clean and the property is beautiful. You’re about 7 miles or so to the closest grocery store, but it’s an easy trip to make. The room has a microwave and small dorm style fridge, we brought a cooler with ice and a few things to cook on the grill. You will need to bring your own cups and utensils. There is a nice spot to sit outside and eat and watch all the hummingbirds. We sat outside around the fire pit and the kids enjoyed the play area. Very peaceful and quiet, we enjoyed our time here.

We greatly enjoyed our stay, definitely recommend. The view overlooking the valley is amazing, and we loved sitting around the fire. We had several toddlers, and they loved the playset, and getting to see the chickens. I do want note there is no kitchen, but there is a small mini fridge and microwave, so be prepared with ice chests.

Absolutely gorgeous location, wonderful hosts and the rooms were exactly as described. I'd stay again in a heartbeat!!

We had a little vacation on Bob & Gengie's guesshouse and it's really good one. The kids loved the play grounds with some lovely animal friends while my husband and I really enjoyed the view from the hill. We absolutely love the place and will come back soon. Highly recommend for everyone looking for family vacation.

It feels like you are in for a glamping experience. Is out in the quiet country but has all the vibe of a city hotel inside. Very kid friendly. Ideal to have some quiet time away and maybe pop in to Fredericksburg or other nearby towns for a little. But you can just spend the day relaxing there. Its definitely a place to enjoy. But be ready to drive up some very dark roads to get there(Im a city girl so I got a little worried). However the roads are very well traced, we never lost gps signal and made it there with no problem.
