Poggio della Villa was a peaceful retreat with everything that we could have needed for a relaxing vacation. 45 mins from florence, 45 mins from siena, and surrounded by the forest of the Chianti Classico region, I am not sure that there is a prettier place to set as a home base for a week whilst touring the wine regions of tuscany. Vanessa and her family were very hands on in checking us in and made us feel like family upon our arrival. We were incredibly comfortable fro the entire duration of our stay. The best thing that we did was ask to see if there was a chef that could come to the house to cook us a few meals, and it turned out we hired Monica, a member of the family who owns the villa. Her cooking was phenomenal. It was lovely to not have to leave the villa for a night or two because everything may look close by on a map, but the winding roads of Chianti make getting around a slower process (but so enjoyable). Thank you Vanessa for a wonderful stay!

Great location and house, very spacious and clean. Hosts were responsive and very helpful. Would definitely stay again. Tim
