We rented the cottage to visit the Baxter State Park and the Katahdin NP. Great location to both parks. We would definitely recommend this place. The cottage was as described, was clean, and was perfect for our family of 5.

We stayed here on our trip to visit Baxter State Park. The cottage was cozy, clean, and a refreshing place to rest after hiking Mt. Katahdin. It’s about a 45 min drive to the park entrance, but worth it for a quiet and comfortable stay. Access to data / wifi is very limited in the cottage, but the campground has an internet room with wifi. We had a few last minute trip planning details to research and we were able to do that there, but couldn’t text or access wifi from our place. There’s a private shower in the cottage that’s pretty small with only about 10 mins of hot water, but we loved it nonetheless, especially after several days of camping. We were also grateful for the kitchen and cooking utensils and enjoyed watching tv on the couch after a long day outside. There were several campground staff on premise during our stay and they were kind and helpful and gave us plenty of privacy. We would stay here again.

Mt. Princeton Cottage is just the right size place for up to four people (two adults and two children) for a long weekend. The cottage is less than 20 miles from Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument. The kitchen is well stocked with pots and utensils to cook a good meal; there are enough plates, cups, and silverware. The cottage has a full stove with full oven; the refrigerator is full size with a freezer able to hold several days of food. It is a cozy place ideal for a family with young children. However, the stairs to the 2nd floor are steep. The beds and bed linens are comfortable. The cottage was clean and ready when we checked in. The cottage is not directly on the river; the river is viewable from the front window and deck. It is a tranquil place. We were able to store our two canoes on the deck safely. The cottage is a good value for the price. There are some small drawbacks. The WiFi is not adequate if you need to stay in touch with the office or family. The bathroom lacks a fan; the stove does not have a hood. The shower is small. If you are sensitive to smells and tastes of well water, you will need to get bottled water.
