The neighbourhood is traditional. We are in the small town of Yanque. Considered the best place to explore the Colca Canyon on your own. Our location is excellent for starting a hike to Uyo Uyo and the other attractions in Yanque.
Also from here, it is possible to visit the other areas of the canyon, as well as enjoy the different benefits that nature offers, such as hot springs and excellent food made with local ingredients.

To get to Yanque, you have different transportation alternatives:
- Tourist transport: It is the transport of the tours that leave to the Colca Canyon, you have the option to leave at 3 am (PEN 35) and stay on your own exploring the town and its attractions. Or at 8 am (PEN 70) on a 2-day-1-night tour. If you are interested in any of these options, please contact us.
- Public Transportation: There are different alternatives to arrive via public transportation, all of them going through Chivay first. We recommend the minivans of Transport Centella or Transport Caminos del Inca, which leave near the bus terminal and reach the town of Chivay. From this point, you can organize a transfer with us or take a taxi to Yanque for PEN 15. You can also take the minivans from Chivay Square for PEN 2.
Be careful that in "Chivay" there are "jaladores" who receive a commission from very low-quality hotels for bringing passengers and unscrupulously use lies to divert people who have intentions of going somewhere else.
There is also the option of taking Reyna Transport or Milagros Transport from the bus terminal. This bus does arrive directly at Plaza de Yanque, leaving you three blocks from our property.
- Private Tourist Transportation: We can organize private transportation if you want this service, contact us.Transportation: If you are travelling on your own, we recommend using Waze or Google Maps, in both applications the location of our property appears. The road between Arequipa and Yanque is entirely paved and is in good condition. It should be taken into account that a toll must be paid in Pampa de Arrieros for an amount of approximately PEN 5.
To return to Arequipa, Chivay, continue towards Cabanaconde:
You can get anywhere from Yanque Square. Buses go to Cabanaconde every few hours, and there is a permanent connection to Chivay through local vans. From Chivay, you can return to Arequipa by minivan, or you can hire with us a transfer to Puno for USD 30.
