We recently enjoyed a two week stay at George’s authentic Greek villa, nestled right by the sea. Waking up and diving into the waters was a daily treat. The villa is fully equipped, from a well stocked kitchen to a wide array of board games. The spacious lawn is great for ball games, and George has ensured outdoor activities are plentiful with rackets, a ping pong table, and even kayaks. Thought we didn’t have a car, taxis were handy for essential trips. Local vendors selling fresh fruits frequently pass by, and there’s a water sports bar just three houses down. What stood out was George’s availability and eagerness to help, making our stay comfortable and hassle free. Highly recommend for a delightful escape!

This place is perfect. The host is perfect. We just had such a perfect vacation, i'm at a loss for words, but i'll try anyway. George was highly communicative and very, very helpful. The house is a beautiful gem of Cycladic architecture with a huge lawn for the kids to run free and with a private beach. The beach had a few kayaks for us to use and about 100 yards to the east, there's a lovely little beach club with a pool, restaurant and a wide array of water sports, ski, wakeboarding etc. The house was very well equipped with anything we may have needed, and more, as there was a great collection of books, board games and card games. The house itself is divided into 2 different units, which served us perfectly because we were two families. On the main floor there is 1 bedroom, a large living room, kitchen etc. and on the roof there's another unit with 2 beds and a separate bathroom/shower. The whole place is very immersed in nature, as it's an agricultural area at the foothills of the mountains of North Evia. The town of Politika is a short drive away and its promenade of beachside restaurants is either : 1 minute drive, 3 minute walk or 7-8 minutes by kayak. Our kids made a routine of rowing by kayak to the ice cream stand and then jumping off of the pier into the water a few times before rowing back. The area seemed pretty touristy, but only with domestic tourism, so there are ample facilities but you dont feel that you're being treated like an idiot. It was nothing short of perfect. We opted for this side of Evia because the sea is always extremely calm and the kids could literally spend the entire day, from sun-up to sun down in the water worry free. This did mean that we didnt have the crystal clear waters of the Aegean, but we had absolute worry free safety, peace of mind and the sea at the end of the lawn was an actual extension of the lawn and the house. We realized quickly that this place is a little outside of our tax bracket, but I think that we benefitted from the fact that it's fairly new on Airbnb, so it's not booked solid ahead of the season. We joked a lot about giving it a terrible review so we could keep the secret to ourselves, but we're so appreciative of this experience for our families that we set the jokes aside and have nothing to do but thank our lucky stars for this wonderful experience.

George's place is unique - everything is there: the amenities, the comfort, the nature, the sea, the hill behind the house, the long promenade along the shore to the lighthouse, the small traditional village with a well equipped super market and its "square" to enjoy an "ouzo" aperitif... but most of all the "homy" feeling and relaxing spot under the big fig tree in the garden, watching the sea and chilling... I hope I'll come back one day! Thank you, George for your hospitality!
