Gabriela and Luis opened up their beautiful historic home to us in the centro of Guadalajara. Many things to keep in mind when visiting a historic building, one being that there is no central cooling. We just happened to be staying during a heat wave, so fans were our only method of staying cool. Location to the city center was within 1 block walking distance. Very walkable to everything in the center. Everything you’d want to do is west of the house up the street or south going towards the Mendoza hotel. Going east down the street isn’t necessarily advisable (for family reasons). Check in was easy, got to meet Luis and he was extremely helpful and cared very much about his home and plants. So much charm in this home that is over 100 years old. We stayed for a week and got used to some of the quirks of the house but that is to be expected with an older home. Overall, it was very convenient and something to check off your list to say you stayed in a colonial style home.

excelente atención, éramos muchas personas, al final fuimos más de las indicadas en un principio pero dentro del rango aceptable de la casa, intentamos no ser tan desordenados en nuestra estancia al ser tantas personas. Muy amigable, instrucciones claras, todo muy limpio y agradable estancia, fuimos en una temporada muy alta de calor pero igualmente no la pasamos muy bien. Todo funcionó muy bien! y todos quedamos muy agusto.

This stay was one of the best I have ever stayed in. Gabriela and Luis were amazing hosts in every way. The pictures don’t show how truly beautiful the place actually is. They even had great recommendations we ended up using.
