Immaculately cleaned cottage in the trees, with many thoughtful touches by the host to make your stay wonderful. We found everything we needed, and more. EXCELLENT swimming and water quality. Be warned, the walk down and up from the beach is definitely a workout. The beach is very private. The water entry is easy for kiddos, & deep enough as you go out for the adults to swim. We requested scent free sheets and got them. There are a few scented candles and potpourri in the cottage so if you're sensitive, perhaps ask Josee to remove them before arrival. Would love to see them put air conditioning in and it would help with the humid smell downstairs. The hammock swing on the back deck was a favourite place to sip wine, listen to the breeze in the trees and watch the birds. Indeed that large back deck is fantastic. Very quiet area and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Extremely responsive host and you can tell she cares by the touches at her cottage.
The house is great and the lake is incredible. We stayed an entire month and loved it (5, 3, parents and grandma). Great neighbourhood/neighbours, super to bike around, amenities fairly close by (cottage close, not city close). We used all the watercraft - which were in great shape. Brought our own life jackets and sand toys. A couple of day trips to Fort Colonge - the falls are worth checking out. Lots of stairs to the beach but truly worth it; also means when you are down there - you aren’t running into the house all of the time to get things. Simply pack your drinks and snacks ahead of time and go. Excellent WIFI for the country. We brought our Apple TV and it worked very well. Excellent communication with the host. A truly wonderful experience for all of us.
Perfect cottage for a summer vacation. The kitchen is especially well stocked with all the cookware and basics you might need. The swimming is really great, especially for families with young children as the entry is shallow. I hope to be back in the future.
