Lovely little apartment! Living area was comfortable and roomy. Anita was a delightful host, showing us around and making sure we were comfortable. Great bar & restaurant was right across the street. We are definitely considering another visit!

Fantastic- I’ll hit the main points first. *spotless *great bed *beautiful view of the river- *great communication with Anita We loved our stay. The view of the river is gorgeous. Every morning we used our Cornell Lab Merlin Bird Lab ID app to catch the bird songs. We identified no let than 6 species of birds every morning. There are plenty of local hikes, and historical towns to visit. Anita was a wealth of knowledge! Check out Rivertown Books in McGregor. They have books of all sorts! New and antique. We hope to come visit again. *Side note* be sure to ask about the upstairs apartment- it’s a bit bigger (two bedrooms), has a back sunroom/3 season porch and deck off the kitchen.

My stay here was relaxing and peaceful. Just steps away from the Mississippi River (and a lovely view of it!), along with 2 restaurants. I was super impressed with the cleanliness of the space, along with the amenities and history. Between Guttenberg and Garnavillo, it also was a great location to get to either town conveniently. I had a beautiful week there and already expect to come back in December. If you need a place to stay in this area, this spot cannot be beat!
