The cottage is located in a secure, convenient neighbourhood & has spacious parking space should you arrive with your own transport & plenty of lovely outdoor space with fresh breeze flowing throughout. You'll love the place because of its tranquil ambience & privacy. The cottage is a stone's throw from the lake with a glimpse of the lake view from the roof top & magnificent sunsets. It has a large spacious covered veranda & a huge garden to enjoy the garden atmosphere & has its own private entrance. The cottage is equipped with electronic safes & is serviced daily. ( so, no need to worry about dirty dishes!). It is a perfect place to call home. The cottage has super fast high speed Internet ( Free Wi-Fi ) throughout the property (indoors & outdoors). A Smart TV with DSTV ( Satellite TV) with access to TV Channels, Netflix, Amazon Prime & Radio. Alarm Systems & Electric Fencing installed. The cottage is fully alarmed. It’s positioned in a beautiful private garden setting with plenty of palm trees & other exotic varieties & various species of birds, with a lake view from garden & magnificent sunsets. It’s quiet, airy & is finished to a high standard offering a very casual luxury. it’s ideally located near to the lake & close to the town centre & it’s a short drive to Westend Shopping Mall & all the major malls. It’s near to the main road with easy access to public transport, restaurants & Kisumu night life.... (All within 10-15 min drive). Your fully furnished base to explore Kisumu. You will have the whole house to yourselves. Make yourselves feel at home. For your added security: The cottage is fitted with a 24-hour security response service. There is 24/7 CCTV for external security surveillance & at the front entry for the safety and protection of guests and the property. Security guards on property 24/7 & includes 24 hrs armed security service response & patrols including at night. in addition, a Police Station is just a distance away. The cottage & the entire property are well protected & secured by electric fencing that surrounds the premeter wall for your complete peace of mind. Privacy guaranteed. The cottage is “ open plan” design, with a lovely modern fully fitted kitchen, dining area & comfy living room that opens out through glass sliding doors onto a wide covered spacious veranda with a patio & offers outdoor dining furniture & lovely garden views. The kitchen is well equipped for self-catering. Appliances include microwave/oven, coffee press, electric kettle, toaster, blender, rice cooker, cooker+ oven, large fridge/freezer, washing machine, iron box, iron board, pots & pans, plates & cutlery, glassware & high quality cooking essential products, so that you can enjoy your stay. The Barbecue Grill is available for use. Please arrange to bring/Or buy your own charcoal to use outside the grilling area. You can sit cosily & enjoy your meal. The cottage is beautifully maintained & well managed, it’s quiet & safe & has an on-site safe & secure gated free parking space, so your car will be safe. It’s stylish & has a beautiful interior! It offers lots of character & is a happy place. The cottage sleeps 2-4 people in two double Queen Beds & sleeps 1 person in a large Day Bed that is a comfy place to sleep. The cottage can comfortably accommodate 5 persons! The cottage is perfect for both long & short stays. For maximum comfort & convenience, all en-suite bathrooms & the separate bathroom have hot water showers. The hot water is heated via solar panels. There is also a full generator back-up system available in the unfortunate event of load shedding by our country’s power supplier KP&L Co. That is normally beyond our control. So you can use the Internet & watch television in case of a power outage. Smoking is allowed outside the cottage & in the garden area. (strictly no smoking indoors). Activities nearby: We can organize Lake Victoria boat trips for sunrise & sunset cruise, fishing, bird watching (there amazing species of birds on the lake) & amazing boat rides for spotting hippos & many other activities on the Lake Victoria. Nancy has an amazing place. Beautiful garden, good amenities and amazing staff. The communication up front was amazing and was very helpful. her guidebook on Kisumu helped us a lot. Definitely recommend staying with her.
I spent 10 days at Nancy's lakeside bungalow with my family to celebrate my gandaughters 1st birthday with her extended family that lives around the area. It is a beautiful place to be, lovely compound beautifully cared for by staff on site daily. Janet, the housekeeper, cleans, changes linen, and washes, takes great pride in her job, and is so friendly and warm. Daniel, the daytime security and Lucas' night security were friendly and extremely helpful. Lawrence, the gardener, was warm and friendly as well . Lovely team constantly available, to give help and security and above all a beaming smile and wave ! Nancy was available and proactive with any issues... such as evening powercuts ! but fortunately, a generator is on site as backup. The location is fantastic. Being so close to the lake, the breeze was most welcoming . Stunning sunsets from a viewing terrace and terrific thunderstorms to watch from the secure enclosed house terrace. We had a great holiday, and many thanks 😊

Nancy has a nice cottage in Kisumu across the road from Lake Victoria. It is comfortable and the house manager Janet is very welcoming. She did our laundry as well. Great stay. Authentic Kenyan neighborhood experience including fans and mosquito nets. We enjoyed our stay. Book it! If we return to Kisumu we will stay at this cottage.
Nancy was very quick to respond to any questions about the booking and accommodating for my family to check out late as I was in a class and they stayed there during the day. Upon arrival, Janet, the housekeeper was there to greet us and show us how everything worked even though we arrived late. Janet came and cleaned everyday and even did our laundry for us including ironing. All of the staff were very helpful and friendly. Our kids really enjoyed talking with all the staff and they were very kind to us. We swam at the pool across the street and Janet went to ask for a discount for us and then walked us there. The night guard even washed our car for us. The house was kept very clean and was incredible safe. We did walk around the area and it seemed very safe to us. It’s close to the impala sanctuary, the lake, access to swimming across the street for a fee and the community hospital right down the street. We enjoyed our stay and recommend it!

Car rental/ Or Car Hire is also possible in Kisumu.
