we stayed at this historic cabin, with a nice screened in porch bedroom & laundry area, other screened in porch overlooked the lake. we enjoyed seeing young deer all around the cabin at different times of the day. it was nice being back in the woods & overlooking the lake. there was plenty of space inside & a booklet of info for the cabin, about the area & a bit of history on the cabin. it was nice to get away & enjoy family time. The only thing I didn't care for was the moth ball smell walking in, but I understand it for warding off bugs & stuff. I would rent again. thx again!😊

The cabin is old but very well mantained inside.the amount of screened in porch space is huge and we enjoyed it.the walk to the lake access is short and easy ,I had a nice swim.water shoes for the rocky shore is helpful,very clear nice water.there were deer in yard every day,large nice yard.The only negative was a strong septic smell after it rained,on a very still night.If you want to feel like your camping but have cabin this is it.I may stay again next summer.

We had a great time, thanks for sharing your Owl house with us. We made some great family memories. The area was absolutely stunning. We saw baby deer all over the place.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Norris Lake! The location of the Owl House was very convenient and located close to a gas station and not far off from Wal-Mart ect but also extremely private. The neighborhood was quiet and we enjoyed resting in the morning on the front porch. We had everything that we needed inside the cabin as far as necessities were concerned. We did not use the sleeping porch but the rest of the house was kept cool by the AC. There were quite a large amount of mosquitoes outdoors which the host was kind and provided bug spray but it would be rather difficult to spend much time out in the yard. The boat access was also not quite useable which was a bummer and we had to drive about 15 min (curvy roads) to Anderson Co. Park to launch our boat. Sequoyah Marina is very close by but would not let us launch on a busy holiday week. Overall, property is rustic, peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed our stay :)
