Superbe endroit….calme, reposant, accès à la plage magnifique; avec le petit village de Canoa tout près pour des petits soupers agréables….loin de Quito, mais le déplacement en vaut la peine, et Carole a accès à un chauffeur de taxi pour le retour direct à l’aéroport. Merci à vous deux…et merci de la belle attention d’être venu nous chercher à l’arrêt d’autobus à notre arrivé !

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Carole's place. She and her husband were excellent hosts. They gave us local recommendations, offered to take us grocery shopping multiple times, and made us feel welcomed and at home in their amazing place. It is just steps away from the beach, surrounded by beautiful palms trees and flowers. They gave me the number for a local surf instructor, and he came to the beach every morning and gave my daughter and I lessons. The pool was fabulous and we had it to ourselves the majority of the visit. It was nice to be able to cook in the casita, and it was fully stocked with everything we needed. The place is about 1 km walk on the beach to the small town of Canoa. This was perfect for us since the beach in front of the place was very quiet compared to Canoa, but still close enough to get fresh bread and pastries in the morning or groceries or visit a local restaurant. This was exactly what we were looking for our beach vacation in Ecuador.

Carole and Jeff's property is an amazing retreat. My family of four (with teens) thoroughly enjoyed our two nights there and spent our time relaxing in the pool and hammocks, around our great bungalow, and the amazing beach right out front. The beach is right there and they've provide sun shelters for their guests to use on the beach. Great swimming. One of the evenings we cooked in the well-equipped kitchen and the other we walked 1km down the beach into Canoa for supper. We took a taxi back to the AirBnB after supper as it was after dark. It's nice to be only 1km from the noise and busyness of Canoa, but close enough to walk via the beach. And we did jogs along the beach, too. We just left our rental car inside the property where there is parking. Carole and Jeff (and friendly dog Buster) were great hosts and a pleasure to chat with. For visiting Canoa, honestly, hard to find better than to stay there.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Carole and Jeff’s place. The estate is located on a beautiful very private stretch of sandy beach just to the south of Canoa. You can get into town by walking the beach and/or taking a $2 taxi ride. The casita, pool area, and BBQ area were all in immaculate condition. Carole and Jeff made us feel right at home and were very responsive to any request we had. We hope to stay with them in the future on our next trip to Manabi!
