We had cleanliness issues with the property, and the pool and spa did not work properly. I would not stay here again. I have raised issues with owner, hopefully these issues have now been addressed.
Overall a nice property in a lovely quiet location. We did enjoy our stay, mostly. However for the cost of the stay we did not expect to encounter; - non functioning spa - missing remote for 1 of the 3 aircons - faulty and in need of service main aircon - used linen left on 4 of the 8 beds - picture fallen off a wall - broken bifold door onto balcony that would not close - broken fridge door handle - furniture different to that pictured in the listing This did hamper our stay and all things considered we would not have stayed here had we known this would be the case.
It was disappointing on arrival to find there was no - 1. NO bed linen (bed covers) in the first three bedrooms! Later found out that was “normal” for the area?!! As an Airbnb host myself, I would never expect my guests to BYO your own linen for your bed! 2. Limited air conditioning in the house and master bedroom had a aircon but didn’t have the remote for it?! It was so hot in the house. The aircon in the living room was not powerful enough. 3. The whole floor of the property was so dusty and it need a vacuum and a mop!! There was spiders and web in most corners 4. Fridge was not cold enough and it was a little dirty inside 5. Bed mattresses in the downstairs bedroom was so uncomfortable- had the worst sleep. 5. The cleaning and the long list of check-out house rules was a little too much. I think they should just pay for a professional cleaner 6. The window looking down to the pool was not cleaned it was hard to see the lovely views .The house just needed a GOOD clean
Great location and property, however poorly maintained and little to no cleaning prior to check in. We spent 3 hrs cleaning the bathrooms, kitchen, toilets, and rooms upon checking in due to it seeming as though the house had not been professionally cleaned. Prior guests linen were either still on the beds or bundled up in the laundry. It was disappointing to receive the property in this messy and unhygienic condition. All facilities worked, however we required assistance with working the spa as the instructions did not explain how to increase temperature. It did end up working and we enjoyed the spa/pool. Overall we really enjoyed our stay, but the cleanliness of the property was extremely bad, given the rental cost. Beautiful views and neighbourhood with lots of activities to enjoy.
We received access details at 2pm on the day of check in, because the accomodation had been triple booked (apparently). Feel sorry for the 2 other groups, but given the experience I’d consider it a blessing in disguise. Communication is extremely poor. No instructions on wifi, spa/pool manual. Pool cleaners came on the Saturday morning and decided to leave the net at the bottom of a very steep driveway. Unfortunately, one of our guests drove over it. The property itself is super nice. It has a lot of potential, however it’s very much over shadowed: At $1300 a night I’m shocked there’s no linen provided. No bbq tongs, gas bottle empty. We bought our own and decided to donate it. Pantry supplies very limited. Beds and pillow are uncomfortable. The climate in the house is controlled by 2 tiny split systems. Very hot during our stay. The check out expectations are so strict we decided to start cleaning the evening before and just leave that night instead of the morning. Tried our best to leave it spotless, but the vacuum was useless so we had to use the broom. The mop was pretty shocking too. Parking seemed abundant at check in, until the “Karen’s” start kicking up a fuss. Despite signs saying to park at the end of the street- we didn’t want to upset Karen’s husband who sat on the chair of body Corp- so we parked outside the gate… I do hope the owners and management fix up the property, as it does have so much potential. On a side note, Hannah from getaway property was extremely pleasant.
