All in all a great place to stay, Peter and Geoff are great hosts. The Penthouse has a great aesthetic and chilled vibe about it, highly recommend.

Our 2nd stay in the Penthouse at Fernthorpe and again a great time was had. Beautifully furnished, cosy, peaceful and with great views - it's a lovely place to stay with all the Uppermill offers only a short walk away. The only note to add would be to flag that while the double bed is very comfortable it is much lower than most, maybe not that much over a foot above the floor, so for the 'on their way to elderly' like me, the return to vertical is a bit of a challenge, so just something for some to be aware of for the less than spritely. But everything else is great, including a very nice welcome pack of bread, cereals, milk, jams and buscuits, so it will remain firmly on our 'plan to stay again' list.

Great property. We loved our stay there. Very tastefully furnished and everything you would need has been thought of. Easy walk into Uppermill. We know the area quite well and normally stay with friends but we were unable to stay with them on this occasion. We would definitely stay again if we could not stay with friends.
