The house was lovely and had all the facilities one would require. The surrounding area was beautiful, and it was secluded and private. The bunk beds where a bit hard, so I would suggest that the host either buys new matresses or at least a top matress. Now on to the negatives: There was a significant amount of pet hair when we arrived, and many places where not cleaned well enough. It looked like it had not been used for a while. There was also a lot of dust behind the bed. We should have documented it on arrival, but forgot to take pictures. The provided cleaning equipment was also subpar. The other thing to note is that the rates for electricity and water was quite high compared to the current market price. Besides all that, we had a nice stay.

Nice spacious house on great location. A pity dat is wasn't mentioned in the advertisement that the lake couldn't be used for 2nd year on row due to ecoli bacteria. General cleaning was not really satisfying. At least not as we have experienced in the other houses we rented this holiday. The house definately needs work. Hole in the sofa, shower door broken, stairs of playhouse loose, stairs of 2nd bunkbed missing. We had contact with DanCenter about this and the answer was: this room should not be used. You need to use the seperate house with double bed. Of course not an alternative for a kid of 7 or 8 to sleep there alone. Next to that I mentioned that the duvets and pillows were on the bunk beds and not in the seperate house (there were none). When cleaning is improved and alterations made, it really is a great place. This was the house (of the 4 rented) which was most expensive and less in order. So for us not really value for money.

We really liked this house but as others have said, it needs a little TLC. The bathroom needs to be deep cleaned and the dishwasher was filthy. I cleaned the filter, refilled the salt and removed a load of black goo from the seals and it worked pretty well. The location is great, unfortunately nobody told us that swimming in the lake was not advised this summer due to unsafe levels of e-coli in the water. If we had known we would have gone elsewhere. The fish washing sink isn't much good to you either as fishing is not permitted. The previous 2 guests had written that the spa didn't work so I emailed and asked if had been fixed. I was told they would only come and look at it if I was having a problem. I decided not to waste the money filling up a spa that everyone says is broken. We didn't really mind though, it just might have been fun to use once or twice. We had a problem with the satellite TV and that was sorted out promptly. They also replied almost immediately when I couldn't find the water meter (it's in the bedroom cupboard). It is not listed but the house has an air-conditioning unit which we really appreciated when we first arrived! There are some really nice lanes to walk down, I even found a farm nearby with deer, goats, emus, llamas and camels! Overall I really liked this house, the garden is really nice to relax in, and I would stay again.
