Jean-Claude's place was so charming and perfect for our stay. As others have mentioned, the 5 flights of stairs is no joke with luggage, but was totally worth all the morning pastries at Mamiche. I'd never stayed in the Montmarte area, but would definitely stay there again. I could actually spend a whole Paris trip in that area, because there was always more to discover. The restaurants nearby were amazing and well priced compared to the rest of Paris, the bars were filled with friendly locals, there were many shops to discover, and I didn't realize until we were there how many nearby Metro stops there were making it easy to get anywhere in the city. Even though there was a language barrier (désolé!) Jean-Claude was a wonderful host and showed us everything we needed during check-in and followed up to make sure everything was perfect. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone able to handle those stairs (and hills in the area). I felt like a real Parisienne! ;)

Jean-Claude was a quick responder to all my questions and patient with some of the hiccups I had on this trip. So helpful and kind. It was hard to say goodbye to his little flat as it felt like home.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Jean-Claude’s apartment. It’s furnished beautifully with antiques, books, and art - very cozy. Jean-Claude himself was kind and responsive. We had a slight hiccup with the heating and Jean-Claude was quick to respond and offer solutions. The neighborhood is charming with quick access to multiple metro lines, parks, bakeries, bars, and restaurants. We felt completely safe walking back late at night. I will note that the stairs are NO JOKE. If you want a home base that you can go in and out of multiple times a day, this might not be right for you (depending on how fit you are). But if you plan on leaving in the morning to be out all day and just need a space to sleep in after wandering around the beautiful city of Paris all day, Jean-Claude’s space fits the bill! It was perfect for us. Plus the high floor level gives you great sunshine in the morning and much needed quiet at night.

It was a very cozy space and fun to stay there. It was close to the metro, bakery and cafe's. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Within easy (though uphill) walking distance to Montmartre. A fun area of Paris to walk through and eat. Reccomend this Airbnb and the host was amazing. Thanks!
