My friend and I wanted to explore Cockpit country — this place was a great home base for a day trip and the countryside is incredibly beautiful. The location is close to Albert Town, which made it easy to find food and groceries. Kenroy, the local contact, was friendly and helpful. Exactly what we were hoping for — a small kitchen for preparing local foods, use of the upstairs porch with a lovely view of the rolling hills/sunset, clean and tidy, but most important was how close it is to this particular area of wilderness. We would definitely stay here again for more exploring!

This place is clean and you are surrounded by beautiful mountains. There's almost nothing to do in this area. I wouldn't recommend it for a family because the place is small. keep in mind that you will stay in the backyard of someone and you are close to the main road (Stetin). Beds are not comfortable.

This was a beautiful apartment & had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Johnnie was very responsive & a great host. It was easy to get route taxi's in & out of Albert Town for food & people were very friendly. We enjoyed exploring Cockpit Country with a local guide & would definitely recommend that to anyone visiting the area.

We had a brief stay, but were very satisfied with the space, which was clean, modern and quite comfortable. The addition of an A/C unit would have been perfect, but the overhead fans throughout the apartment did a good job in the usually cool Trelawny hills. The neighborhood was quiet, and we felt very safe and unbothered moving around. Johnnie was friendly and professional during this entire process, and his assistant on site was equally helpful. Going forward, Bird's Nest will definitely be top of the list for accommodation choice in, or close to the Albert Town area of Trelawny. We recommend without hesitation.
