We booked the rental for my parents and my sisters, and our kids. The back porch was the best part of the house. From the moment we got in the rest of the house was not great. They only have AC in the bedrooms, so the kitchen and all seating areas of the house are 90 degrees F with no airflow other than 3 small fans they left us. The bigger issue is that the design of the house leaves the entire stairway by the kitchen with a massive open window (slats only, no glass, so hot air comes pumping in all day long, making the kitchen hot even if you try to get some of the bedroom AC to go to the rest of the house). This made a week with small children very difficult. We also had issues with power breakers overloading every time we ran the dryer (AC would shut off) and they had to have an electrician come and fix it while we were there. We required maintenance like 5x and it was not timely. Beeping alarm in bedroom, and maggots in trash as well. Lovely outdoor area, but wouldn’t recommend.

The photos really don’t do this house justice, it’s miles better than it looks (and it looks incredible). The owners need to add a drone photo showing you just how large the plot of land is, and just how secluded the location is. We saw a few fisherman during the week, but that was it. I’ll most certainly look at staying here again

The Emily House was breathtaking. The house looked exactly like the photos. My issue wasn’t with the house itself but it was with Blue Sky Luxury. The staff was beyond unprofessional. There were people who walked into the property without knocking which I later found out was staff (housekeeper & engineer). My family and I went out on a day cruise and when we returned we noticed a few things out of place including money being missing. I immediately contacted the concierge who confirmed that that an additional staff member (property manager) was in the house, without my permission or without notifying me, earlier that day. Blue Sky Luxury refused to reimburse me for the stolen cash although Airbnb was contacted immediately and a police report was eventually made. The property was amazing but the experience was horrific. Be careful!
