Welcome to my home, the LISBON'S PORTUGUESE DESIGN HOME. This is the flat where I live when I’m not out of town, so if you are reading this is because I will be on holiday on your dates and you can have the opportunity of living in a beautifully rentable flat of the 1950s in the centre of vibrant Lisbon. The home is furnished in the style of the 1960s by one of the biggest icons for Portuguese design in the 20th century, José Espinho, it is equipped with all the modern amenities, too. Suitable for up to two guests, my home is a real-life experience of Portuguese design history. One bedroom, living room, kitchen and bathroom. All your daily needs are provided for. It's a cozy apartment, you notice it's someone's home that gets well taken care of. I personally really liked how there's no plastic around, it feels like very sustainable choices were made. And the view over the city is quite impressive.
Het appartement bevindt zich op de twaalfde etage en dat vond ik wel fijn. Geen lawaai en goede nachtrust. Verder is het huis zoals op de foto’s. Ik heb een prettig verblijf gehad.
Localização excelente e apartamento muito bem equipado e decorado. Hugo é um anfitrião atencioso e responde sempre muito rápido. Atendeu às nossas necessidades, tivemos um tempo muito bom no apartamento de Hugo!
Appartement très bien placé, propre, des instructions très claires, on voit que l’hôte n’est pas à son coup d’essai.
The flat is situated in Arroios district, a multicultural neighbourhood that gathers families from all over the world and it's very attractive due to its proximity to the historical centre. You can taste the flavours of the world without leaving the neighbourhood. Here you can find modern shops along with traditional business and the local market, where you can always buy fresh products at cheaper prices. Catching the green metro line, you can reach the Baixa in about 12 minutes.

# Alfama, Castelo & Graça (discover fado, characterful backstreets and high-rise viewpoints in this trio castle-crowned neighbourhoods) → 20 min away by metro + foot.
# Belém (Manueline monuments, a Unesco-listed monastery and contemporary art await in this nautical-flavoured neighbourhood by the river) → 45 min away by metro + tram.
# Parque das Nações (the riverside district shines with outdoor art, futuristic architecture and Europe’s second-biggest aquarium) → 25 min away by metro.

METRO
The flat is located close to the metro station Arroios. On the red line, the Aeroporto metro station allows convenient access to downtown. Get off at Alameda (red line) to reach the flat.
The metro runs frequently from 6.30 am to 1 am.
TRAIN
Cais do Sodré is the terminal for train services to Cascais and Estoril. → 15 min away by metro
Rossio, with its beautiful neo-Manueline facade, offers frequent services to Sintra (40 min), the stupendously silly castle craziness village. → 11 min away by metro
CAR
If you’re going by car, parking is the main issue. Spaces are scarce, parking regulations are complex and pay-and-display machines are often broken. Street parking is enforced Monday to Friday (8am to 8pm) and on Saturday (8am to 6pm). The flat is the green zone (per hour €0.72) have four-hour maximums. On Sunday, parking is usually free. The car-park Praça do Chile, 400 meters away, the rate is €7 per day.
