A family bedroom in a thatched farm house, ensuite bathroom (bath, shower, basin,loo) The room has a queen bed, 3/4 bed and cot. A shared reading room that has a DSTV is also where a basic continental breakfast is served. The dining table is there for anyone who would like to set up their computer and work. This is an ideal stopover en route to Mozambique as Fossil farm is right next to the tar road. No dirt road driving required. Idea base from where you can explore the bush and the sea. Fossil Farm is home to ancient Baobabs and cycads. The plinth of the house is built of fossilised wood. This is an old house on what was once a working dairy farm. Now it is a working studio/gallery where workshops are offered. There are restaurants nearby but not always open for dinner, but braai facilities in a shared boma are provided. Friendly dogs live here.
