This was an easy, no problems, stay. We were in town for a funeral, and Darren's place provided the perfect location, space and peace to "come home too". The house looks exactly as pictured. It is a 'no frills' type of place but it is clean, well furnished, and comfortable. If I had to give a negative, it world be that the place could use a few minor cosmetic touch-ups, but nothing that would keep me from staying there again. Lastly, the instructions given for check-in and check-out are very detailed and clear to understand making the process easy and unproblematic; and check-out was a breeze as there was not a laundry list of "chores" to do before leaving. I will definitely keep this on my list of favorite places to stay in Columbia.

I'd recommend staying elsewhere if comfort is important. While the neighborhood and layout of the house were fine, the AC was not functioning. When I reached out to Darren regarding it, I received no reply until the next morning as though it were my fault that I did not read his instructions. After reading new instructions that he sent, the AC was still not functioning and I had to find another place to stay for my family and I to be able to rest comfortably. Darren was not accommodating to our request for a refund for the rest of our stay so we could move on to a house with functioning AC, and it had to be settled by AIRBNB. The house felt like it had been mostly neglected with only touchups for cleaning. Not worth it for my family of 5.

Been here a few times and it’s always a great stay and Darren is an awesome host. Will definitely keep working with him when available.
