Unfortunately due to the transaction being based on the original booking, the review for the place we really stayed in was one of the 4 apartments close by on one of his separate listings. The original booking was changed (not in Airbnb). The pictures looked good still and we assumed the place would be at least similar value. Unfortunately the apartment we stayed was not of the same calibre as the house nor did it have the same amenities and was lacking items on the amenities list for the apartment. Such as a hair dryers/extra sheets. Closet bedding didn’t apply to bed. There was no garbage can, thought he did reply quick to mention garbage bags were in the closet. The toilet seat was missing both nuts allowing it to skate around the bowl if not careful and a simple ceiling light in the kitchen (it is wired for one). The sink also had a decent chip around the drain. Would have been easier to excuse if he rebated the price difference. Reviews of house were good. Apartments need maint.

Kenji is a great host that is very accommodating to our needs. we short of some items and he goes all the way out to help

Kenji is an amazing host. I brought my elderly mom (80’s) and my 4 year old daughter. We stayed for a comfortable 16 days. It was very nice and quiet. My daughter attended the Aoshima kindergarten just down the road. We had a car, but easily walked all over. Nearby was the beach, vending machine, 7Eleven, small grocery store, and if the weather is right, Aoshima island and village. We’ll be back for sure.
