SweetWater Inn was a truly lovely stay in Gainesville. Close to the university, charming, lovely rooms/grounds, and helpful staff. Highly recommend!

I stayed at Sweetwater Branch Inn for five nights and absolutely loved it. The Louisa room is actually quite a bit space, and very comfortable for my stay. The Inn has complimentary bicycles for guests to borrow, which was a great way to explore the surrounding area. The pool and different outdoor areas offered plenty of options for places to relax and read or enjoy breakfast or an evening glass of wine. I would highly recommend the Sweetwater Branch Inn to others!

It's a nice place, but not the most luxurious Victorian B&B out there. I personally abhor Cremora instead of real cream in coffee, so automatically took a few points off for that. Luisa's room is on the third floor and the private bathroom across the hall requires you to step down a step to a landing and then back up to the hallway - not a huge problem but awkward. The veranda on the house is beautiful but lacks charm because the furniture is pretty modern, standard-issue event venue tables and chairs. Likewise, there are no furnishings in the first floor rooms, so it doesn't capture the feeling of a Victorian home. The breakfast was simple (rightly so because of COVID), but entirely cold and included a packaged breakfast coffeecake that had to be microwaved, so again, the charm is seriously missing. But the place is clean and pretty and friendly, and the pool (and surrounding Astro-turf lawn) is relaxing. It's probably a beautiful spot for a wedding, but for a one-night stay it didn't wow me. Also, I was slightly nervous sleeping in a third floor room without a fire escape, though there was a quite visible sprinkler system.

You can expect excellent attention from the staff, well attended grounds and beautiful, clean rooms. We look forward to going back soon!
