I had a great stay in Bilbao at this apartment. Great location for walking city and in a cute part of town!

The apartment was huge - more than enough room for 5 people. It is on a main street, so it's a bit loud in the front bedrooms (just from people walking around, but there's not a bar downstairs or anything). A white noise machine was provided. It was also wonderful to be so central and right on the canal. The showers were a bit troublesome - one of the holders was broken and the other was unwieldy, but there was plenty of hot water. Also, there were single-use toiletries provided in the bathrooms, but there were no extras in the kitchen, like paper towels, napkins or coffee pods to get you started. There are plenty of stores nearby, though. The host is incredibly responsive and friendly. We had trouble with the Numi digital lock so once we got in, we used the keys the host provided. Over all, a great place to stay in Bilbao!

In Casco Viejo you will find a lot of bars and restaurants where you can taste the delicious Basque gastronomy. There are also many small stores where you can find local products and handicrafts.
In addition, Casco Viejo is home to some of Bilbao's main tourist attractions, such as the Santiago Cathedral, Plaza Nueva and the Ribera Market. It is also very close to the Guggenheim Museum, which is one of the city's main attractions.
As for accommodation, there is a wide variety of options in Casco Viejo, from boutique hotels to tourist apartments. If you like nightlife and a lively atmosphere, you will love staying in this neighborhood.
From Arenal Park in the Old Town, you can reach many of Bilbao's main tourist attractions on foot or by public transport.
Santiago Cathedral: You can walk to Santiago Cathedral in about 7 minutes from Arenal Park. Simply follow Santa María street until you reach the cathedral square.
Plaza Nueva: Plaza Nueva is only a 3-minute walk from Arenal Park. Exit the park onto Correo street and turn left onto Bidebarrieta street. The square will be on your right.
Ribera Market: You can walk to Ribera Market in about 10 minutes from Arenal Park. Just follow Del Perro street until you reach the market.
Guggenheim Museum: You can take the tram from Pío Baroja stop, which is about a 10-minute walk from Arenal Park. Take the EuskoTran line towards Atxuri and get off at the Guggenheim stop.
Artxanda Funicular: You can take the funicular from the Casco Viejo metro station, which is about a 5-minute walk from Arenal Park. Take line 1 towards Plentzia and get off at the Matiko station. From there, follow the signs to reach the funicular.
