The Ice House was a bit rough around the edges on the exterior, but as a fellow home owner I understand and appreciate the fact that we can only handle as many projects as we are able. Every home is a work in progress. Matt's efforts inside were commendable and apparent... bathrooms, bedrooms, and kitchen were all updated and tastefully remodeled. The huge soaking tub was a definite highlight. I cooked meals for my wife in the well-appointed kitchen, and we drank coffee afterward by the wood stove. This was wonderful. We slept comfortably with the windows open, listening to the "peepers", (frogs) all night. That was a gift. I haven't fell asleep to peepers in a long time. The property was wooded and beautiful, with an old stone dam and retention pond that had to be at least 100 years old. Matt provided every amenity expected in the home, and was a kind and attentive host. The home is located centrally to many amazing sights in the region... rivers, covered bridges, mountains. Joy.

I’ve stayed at this home twice and I love it here! It’s a great place with beautiful surroundings and private! Awesome place!
