Beautiful place in an amazing part of the island. This house is a cute little cottage that will make you feel immersed in the jungle of big island. Just a few blocks from the ocean, surrounded by nature, in an immaculate home.

My stay at Vivian’s was quite relaxing. The outdoor bathtub was delightful and I took full advantage of the yard space to sit under the moonlight with privacy. The space was cozy, provided everything I needed and really gave a taste to life on the Hilo side of the island. Roosters, lizards, geckos, a cat and even an owl visited the property. I felt beautifully connected to nature while also being in a neighborhood. It was lovely! Hosts were available, attentive and responsive! The only thing that bothered me was a strong mildew odor in part of the house. And as previous reviews/comments have mentioned, it has been professionally checked for mold. However, the smell was still present and it caused a slight annoyance. Overall, a wonderful stay!

My husband and I stayed for 2 weeks at Vivian and Don's charming bungalo. It truly was paradise! The place was beautiful with cool reclaimed vintage features, comfortable furniture and linens. The lush garden made it feel very private and the geckos and chickens were really fun to watch. The sustainable off-grid system worked great and they had lots of the basics plus many extra things that we didn't even realize we might need but we were happy to have. They were very responsive and friendly and made us feel welcome. The neighborhood felt safe and quiet and it was close to lots of amazing adventures. We hope to come back again soon!

I had a wonderful stay at Vivian and Dons place they made me feel at home and were very responsive. I got lost trying to find the location and they were quick to help. Definitely recommend their place if your looking for a unique Hawaiian paradise!

This stay was very charming and private- lots of wonderful night sounds of birds and crickets. The cottage was charming and bigger than it looked in the photos. The bed was also very comfy and cozy. One thing to note, the wild roosters can be very noisy and the cottage is open-air so make sure to bring earplugs! There were a couple issues we had with the shower and running out of propane, but Vivian was super responsive and quick to fix and assist. Thank you!
