We were lucky enough to spend a month in this spacious, extremely well-appointed home. Everything was perfect and of the highest quality including a great backyard for hanging out. Just the two of us but would work well for a family reunion. Happy to have good internet. The Village of Oak Creek is an excellent place to explore the many superb hiking trails around Sedona.

Sharon's house is nicer than shown in the pictures. It is convenient to restaurants, Clark's Market, and most importantly for us, to an extensive trail network. We were able to do numerous mountain bike rides from the house. We cooked most meals in and found the kitchen well stocked and very user friendly. The beds are very comfortable and the master bedroom is especially inviting with a large bathroom and walk in closet. The outdoor spaces are nice as well with an outdoor table and chairs for dining or happy hour. The large windows in the living room take advantage of the great views of Castle Rock. Our party of five had a great month long stay at Sharon's place.

Let’s start with THE GOOD: beautiful home, just as described and photographed. If you like the Village of Oak Creek which is about 20 minutes away from Sedona, this is a nice location. Best feature: most quiet neighborhood I’ve ever been in. I’ve never slept so well because of it. You can easily receive USPS, FedEx, and UPS packages here. Great sized garage and driveway. THE BAD: The service!! Immediately upon booking I asked Victoria (woman who actually runs booking, not the owner Sharon) if she could let me know if anyone was going to book November/December so I could have first dibs since I was already in the home, she assured me yes (I have screenshots of every claim I will make). Oct 19, I emailed her to say we’d like to EXTEND the dates (that word is important later) of my stay until after the first of January and to please send me an invoice on Airbnb. She assured me she would. I confirmed dates for extension on Nov 1 via email just before my checkout date on Nov 2. She sprung it on me that someone actually had been booked in December before I even booked originally on Nov 1. So they either straight up lied when I originally booked that the home was available in Nov/Dec, or someone booked after me and they tried to cover it up because they forgot to inform me as they promised they would. Obviously frustrated because they never notified me of a booking, I expressed my frustration and asked for the extension until the new people check in on Dec 15 instead. I wake up the day the reservation technically ends to get ready for my appointments for the day—still waiting on Airbnb invoice. I’m about to leave for my appointments that day when I get an email—sent at 10:30 AM saying I need to be out A HALF HOUR LATER…AT 11 AM. WHAT??! Why??! Because they have someone booked TOMORROW—not in December as they had just said last night…they claimed they didn’t realize somehow—they thought it was MY booking, and they need me out immediately so the cleaning lady could turn over the home for the new guests. Long story short: I had to cancel my 3 appointments, spent over $350 in same day cancellation fees for said appointments, had to call out of work (lost that money too), and was absolutely freaking out trying to find somewhere to go with a house hold full of stuff. We live in Sedona and are living in Airbnbs until our house is done he worked on. We had to scramble to find an Airbnb last second and chose a place we could never afford because we have nowhere to go. We have ALL our stuff with us. We worked from 10:35 AM until Midnight moving all of our stuff with many trips in our two Jeeps from their Airbnb to the next one. This literally cost me THOUSANDS of dollars because they DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR GUESTS, straight up lie about dates and/or simply do not follow through on anything they claim they’ll do for you. Then when the mess up is clearly theirs, they’ll act like it was YOUR misunderstanding and your fault even though I have email after email to prove it because you technically don’t have a confirmation from them. The ONLY thing I didn’t have was that actual paid invoice (which I had been asking for well before check out) through Airbnb. I’ll never make the mistake again of believing someone when they claim it’s available. Get the invoice PAID immediately and keep demanding some sort of confirmation for it so you don’t end up in a situation like me. They actually tried to claim they thought I meant to rebook November/December of NEXT YEAR!! Hahaha! What? Way to try to cover your tracks. I said “EXTEND” dates very clearly and asked if anyone was booked after us and to let me know since the beginning. Why would I be referring to next year? When they cowardly had a secretary call me instead of dealing with it themselves, she hung up on me when I asked if they were “seriously not going to take ANY responsibility for this even though I have email after email proving it”! I was flabbergasted. Being kind, calm, and accommodating did not pay off with them. I guess I’ve learned the hard way to be a battle axe, be aggressive, and refuse to take no for an answer until I get the Airbnb confirmation/invoice from them I was promised so I don’t end up in a dire situation that cost me incredible stress, time, money. They acted like they did me some favor that I could get my final things out just before the cleaning lady got there the next day. I am just beyond angry, confused, and incredulous that something like this could happen. They should’ve offered me SOMETHING to make it right. Especially since during my stay, I dealt with several annoying issues: two feral cats in the attic/ceiling fighting to the death—supervised maintenance person coming out and rearranging my schedule to meet him. And the HVAC person to come investigate why the air flow was so poor in master bedroom. They never followed up to offer to fix anything even though the HVAC guy said it NEEDED to be fixed and was VERY poorly done. Victoria did eventually call me and admitted fault for these things but never offered any compensation. Only an apology. I must say I was shocked to even get that. I very much believe in karma, so I did the right thing from beginning to end. AND because I knew this wasn’t the cleaning lady’s fault, I washed all towels and sheets before she arrived even after how awfully they treated me. I do not envy the karma they will endure in their personal lives for not trying to do ANYTHING for me to
