We had a wonderful stay in the delightful 'Boat House'. Everything you need in an ideal location with friendly hosts. Every detail has been carefully considered and the extra touches just topped it off. We only had a short visit but the Islands have such beautiful beaches and views along every road that this is a magical place we would love to visit again and won't have to look any further for a place to stay. Thank you Amanda and Peter for showing us the true spirit of island life. ☺️

Lovely place to stay, a hotel very nearby and a Co-op walking distance. Perfect for a self-catering break. Views were lovely and it was very peaceful. Comfortable bed and lots of space. Great shower too. Highly recommend it.

Our stay at the Boathouse was fantastic from start to finish. Amanda and Peter were warm and friendly hosts, and made our arrival in the the dark very welcoming by turning on the heating and lights, and leaving a bottle of wine, all of which were very much appreciated. The property itself exceeded expectations: it is finished to an excellent standard, is very tastefully and comfortably furnished, and has everything we needed to make it feel like a home-from-home. It has lovely views of the loch and is really well positioned for exploring South Uist and the surrounding islands. Thank you for a wonderful stay - we would love to return in the future.

The Boathouse is a lovely wee place. It's well situated for exploring the island and also very close to local amenities. It is also very well appointed and is a nice place to hang out if the weather is just a bit too inclement. Amanda is a very helpful host, not at all intrusive but happy to give advice if asked. We would definitely recommend the Boathouse as a place to stay whilst exploring the Uists, and hope to return ourselves.
